Internships at Love INC are perfect for anyone looking for work experience in social work, human services or ministry. During your time with Love INC you’ll learn how to serve the under-resourced in our community using a holistic approach.

Love INC Internship Opportunities

Full-Time Intern (1-2 Per Semester)

Each semester we include two full-time interns to assist with phone intakes, organizing data, scheduling appointments, and delivering goods. If available, interns also participate in class registration, transportation, attendance, and preparing our learning environment for our participants at Begin Now.
Time Commitment: 30-40 hours/week

Days of the Week: Regular business hours possibly including Tuesday evenings from 5:00-8:30 PM, Winter (Jan-April), Summer (May-Aug), and Fall (Aug-Nov) opportunities available

Student Volunteer Opportunities

Begin Now For Kids
Begin Now for Kids Interns will supervise and mentor Begin Now participants’ children (ages 4-11) during Begin Now programming.
Time Commitment: 20-30 hours/semester
Days of the Week: Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 PM, Winter (Jan-April), Summer (May-Aug), and Fall (Aug-Nov) opportunities available
Community Service
Interns will work together to offer community service to our neighbors in need. Community service will include delivering furniture and/or providing yard work, as organized and directed by the Connection Center Coordinator.
Time Commitment: 20-30 hours/semester
Days of the Week: Evenings (5:00 – 8:00 PM) or Saturday mornings (9:00 – 12:00 PM) Winter (Jan-April), Summer (May-Aug), and Fall (Aug-Nov) opportunities available
Intake
Intake Interns will learn how to engage with clients over the phone in a conversation to discuss client needs, set appointments at partner churches, and offer encouragement.
Time Commitment: 30+ hours/semester

Days of the Week: Regular business hours. Shifts are typically 9:00-12:00 PM or 1:00 – 3:00 PM, but can be flexible. Winter (Jan-April), Summer (May-Aug), and Fall (Aug-Nov) opportunities available

A student can receive academic credit if they seek pre-approval and complete the necessary paperwork.
