Finding Support at Begin Now

Lin started attending Love INC’s Begin Now program after being invited by her sister, Emma. Lin had just moved to the Cedar Valley in November 2019 and was trying to get settled in a new community. She attended Love INC’s Begin Now Bible Study in January and started the Affirming Potential class during the winter session.

She says, “I wanted to learn, grow more and better myself. I knew Begin Now would benefit me emotionally and spiritually from all that happened with Emma.” In Affirming Potential, Lin has enjoyed the Biblical content and small group discussion time. “People share things and you really get to know them. It’s like family”, she says. She is looking forward to starting Purposeful Living – the goal-setting class – next because she has big dreams for her life!

Lin is currently taking classes toward a liberal arts degree at Hawkeye Community College. After she graduates next month, she will attend the University of Northern Iowa in the fall to become a social worker to help others.
