COVID-19 Update

We are seeing an increase in need for food and household essentials assistance in our community.

CLEARINGHOUSE

Our Clearinghouse Call Center is operating, but from home. Our staff (3 of us) are answering calls and doing intakes. We've limited our services to just those that require limited contact: food, hygiene/household essentials, cleaning supplies, kitchenware, baby essentials, gas cards, bus passes, and financial assistance. Our hours to receive calls (319-266-1264) for assistance will continue to be Monday through Friday from 9-12. Requests can also be made on our website anytime - loveinccv.org/assistance.

DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS

We have added some short-term delivery volunteers during this season to help deliver goods from our gap ministries to our clients in need. If you are interested in making deliveries, please complete our volunteer form at loveinccv.org/volunteer or email , to set up an orientation.

DONATIONS

We are seeing an increase in need for food and household essentials. If you would like to donate, this list of goods would be very helpful to help keep our pantries in good supply:

Food

peanut butter, pancake mix, syrup, canned fruit/veggies, canned chicken or tuna, pasta, pasta sauce, and ramen noodles

Essentials

toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and all-purpose cleaner

Items can be taken directly to our partner churches. Be sure to call before bringing a donation:

MASKS

UnityPoint, Allen Hospital, is in need of home-sewn face masks (any pattern will be accepted). These masks are worn by the hospital's employees NOT having daily contact with patients and will also be given to patients who can take them home. Masks can be dropped off to Allen Hospital at Entrance 2 or 8.

If anyone can help, please contact Allison with responses or questions: allison.ringheden@unitypoint.org.

Thank you for partnering with us and serving our community! May God be glorified in all circumstances and may we share His love and His grace as we serve our neighbors!
